A remnant of the ancient Great North Wood

Biggin Wood is a surprise.
You almost come upon it by chance.
You enter a small park between Norbury and Upper Norwood on stage 4 of the Capital Ring between Crystal Place and Streatham Common. Then you go past some tennis courts and there it is.
A secret place which seems some peaceful.
It is actually a remnant of the ancient Great North Wood which once extended for seven miles between Croydon and Darford.
