Just cruising back from Laleham and snapping away for my boating blog http://hallmark-herewego.blogspot.com/2010/10/hallmark-is-serviced-and-sorted.html I looked down at my feet and was amazed at the way the mooring line just lay in such an interesting pattern.
Well it was interesting to me.
The splice was firm and strong around the cleat.
The old rope seemed new and clean against the brown deck boards
Particular coils carefully crossed and twisted around.
It might have been just an old coil of rope but for that moment it was unique................
