Well we are off on the South West Coastal Path/
We are going to try to get to Barnstaple in about a week!
Day 1 is walking from Minehead to Porlock Weir.
Its only 9.5 miles if we take the simple route............
At first its a really steep walk up through the trees.
Then we take the 'Rugged Route' and that adds a few more miles.
As the name suggests it is much more difficult.
After all the high parts the walk goes down and we cross a very large salt marsh.
Finally get on a very pebbly beach and head for Porlock Weir.
What a day.
Great evening meal in The Ship and overnight at Ash Farm.
