Ash: historic narrow boat

I am in Gas Street Basin in central Birmingham.
Hallmark my boat is just down the cut.
I am doing some narrow boat spotting.
And what a find too!
Here is Ash.
This historic boat was build in 1935 by W J Yarwood and Sons of Norhtwich.
It was built with the motor boat Elm for the Erewash Canal Carrying Company a subsidary of the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company
In 1972 Ash was converted to a houseboat when she was sold to Stroudwater Cruises before being brought by Birmingham and Midland Carriers.
She is still in use by B&MCCC and oftened paired with Collingwood.
One of the photos shows Ash being touched up.
