The Twelfth of Never

I just love the all the different names that narrow boats have.
A lot of thought goes into what people choose to call their boat..
The other morning I opened Hallmark's curtains and there was "the twelfth of Never" sitting opposite. Now what was that name chosen for?
It might have come from the popular song recorded by Johnny Mathis or later by Cliff Richard and Donny Osmond.
More likely the naming is related to the date of a future occurrence that will never come to pass.
