Great Reedmace, or Bulrush


Reeds have such different shades of green and then suddenly they are brown still with amazing shades.
Here are some great reedmace in late December waving in the wind............
Many people call these plants bulrushes but I understand they are not rushes at all!
They grow at the edges of lakes and slow flowing rivers and sometimes canals.
