Little brooks join big rivers

I have been out walking again on the Capital Ring between Wimbledon and Richmond.
I am always interested in the little brooks and streams you come across.
They eventually make there way into a 'big river'.
That is certainly the case of the Beverley Brook.
There was small but fast flowing along the edge of the Wimbledon Common.
Like me it was heading for the Robin Hood gate to Richmond Park and beyond..
The Beverley Brook starts its journey in Nonesuch Park in Cream, wanders on to New Malden and makes it to Wimbledon and Richmond.  It then travels across Barnes Common and goes into the Thames at Putney
The wonderful Pen Ponds in Richmond Park were actually formed by damming a stream that Beverley Brook
