Twenty two minutes: Milton Keynes at speed

I was in Milton Keynes today.
The first time since my summer canal cruise.
Euston to Milton Keynes by Virgin Trains is a mere 22 minutes.
A good part of the journey is at around 100mph
Milton Keynes to Brentford by the Grand Union is almost five days at Hallmark's speed of 4mph.
What a difference.
Whatever the mode of transport or the speed there are some beautiful stretches of countryside.
In today's world you usually do have to get to places quickly.
But one reflection the five days was much more magical.
Slow down they say!
