One of my favourite spots in Southampton is Town Quay. It offers a spectacular view of Southampton’s waterfront. Boat watchers have the Red Funnel ferries going to the Isle of Wight and the Hythe ferry too. Additionally there is a small marina but plenty of good size boats coming back and forth. It is worth seeking out La Margherita Italian Restaurant which is situated at the shore end of Town Quay it has a great waterfront dining area and stylish bar.
